GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Every year the New Zealand Bahá'í community holds two summer schools, one in the North Island and the other in the South Island. These are live-in events that last for a few days, usually held just after Christmas. The programme includes classes and workshops for adults, youth and children on various aspects of the Bahá'í teachings. There are sports and leisure activities in the afternoons. The evening programme may include music, drama and other entertainment staged by summer school participants, as well as general-interest talks. A range of accommodation is provided, depending on the venue, such as dormitories, cabins and campsites. The summer school organisers will be happy to provide information about nearby motels, for those who do not want to stay on-site. Day-visits are possible. Conferences
This year's National Youth Conference was held in Auckland, July 2–5 2007. Next year's conference has not yet been scheduled. For further details please contact the Bahá'í National Office. Children's camps
No children's camps are currently scheduled, although most likely one or more regional camps will be organised during 2008.
